It's no secret that I adore Chanel and I'm very fortunate to have a few bags in my collection (handbags are my thing). Today I thought I'd go into the history of the ultimate handbag: the classic flap or Chanel 2.55.

Flower Power

I may have squealed just a tiny bit when I got my hands on this wonderful piece of floral crimplene. I do seem to make the same shift dress again and again but there was no way this fabric was going to be used for anything else. Plus my beloved curtain dress is nearing the end of its life span (fyi - curtain fabric isn't really suitable for dressmaking as it doesn't wash well), so I was in need of a replacement.

Triplets Sewing Challenge: Collars and Cuffs

Myself, Allie and Catherine decided to do a little sewing link up and create a classic 60s dress with white collar and cuffs. We could use any fabric and pattern we wanted so I decided to recreate the tartan dress that I made in late 2013.
