Ladies Who Lunch

Today I went for lunch with a friend in nearby South Woodford. It definitely feels like spring today so I decided to go for a late 60s flippy mini dress by St Michael (in crimplene naturally), white tights and taupe Salvatore Ferragamo vara shoes.

It's on days like this that I like to pretend I'm a posh lady who lunches - a girl can dream right?

  2. Hello again, dear Sarah! You and your blog get more attractive each time I visit. I'm very happy to see a new post from you because it's been a while. I needed to keep checking back here to make sure Blogger wasn't playing tricks.

I love your mini dress, the length, the feminine style, the print pattern and the unique color combination. The white tights and solid orange/red wall make the whole thing pop and I find the clean, uncluttered composition of the shot aesthetically satisfying.

I hope your week is going well, dear friend Sarah. Good evening, good night and have a terrific Thursday!

I think i may have bought some crimplene a few weekends back - there was a bit of grassy green looking polyester in the fabric bin at the opp-shop. without label i cant tell what it is. i might need to send you a close up photo?

  5. What a stunning dress, it looks fabulous on you! I love 60's minis with long sleeves. I bought one the other day and I can't wait until it's cold enough to wear it. I must say too that I love your orange backdrop, it's amazing. Orange is one of my very favourite colours and I'd love to live in a place with orange walls. It's a shame it's my boyfriend's most hated colour though!

  8. That she can - and should! I think dreaming, both when awake and asleep, is so healthy and important for one's well being.

This outfit is great! I love the autumn colour palette at work in your dress. It compliments your hair hue superbly, sweet dear.

Big hugs & a great many thanks for every one of your terrific recent blog comments,
