Dressmaking Inspiration: 60s Brights

If I could click my fingers and make things magically appear I would definitely be adding these lovely items to my wardrobe. I just love the bright colours used in the 1960s. I wish there was more time in the day so I could make all of these lovely things!

  1. Hello again, dear Sarah! I know I must "sound" like a broken record, but I believe in giving credit where it's due. Your new blog makes a great first impression. When I log on I am instantly struck by it's clean, uncluttered layout and tasteful color scheme. The images in this post are also top notch. You are getting it right, Sarah.

How well I remember the explosion of bold bright colors and "look at me" fashions for women that arrived just in time for my teenage years. I always urged my girlfriend to wear bright colors and she was eager to comply. I hope you can add some of these coats and dresses to your wardrobe.

Have a safe and happy week ahead, dear friend Sarah!

  2. Oh the vivid colors of the 60's are my favorite! So much inspiration! The canvas rain coat with triangular welt pocket flaps coupled with the angular collar, divine! Thank you.

  6. These images are just the major jolt of colour that my morning needed - thank you! Not to mention being seriously inspiring for spring, as it rounds the bend here again finally in my wee corner of Canada.
