Goodwood Revival 2013

via
Goodwood Revival is over for another year. I've been going for so many years now and it's something that I really look forward to. I had my picture taken quite a lot throughout the day - it was like being mildly famous ;)

Everything I'm wearing is from the 1960s apart from my handbag which is Chanel (it's a lambskin flap bag from the AW10 collection). I picked up the little vanity case at a fair the week before and I knew as soon as I saw it that it would go great with my outfit. Goodwood isn't just about fashion though, the majority who attend are motor sports enthusiasts and after years of pretending not to care this year I got very excited about the St. Mary's Trophy, mainly because Mini's were racing.

I'm sad that it had to end so soon and I'm looking forward to next year already!

  1. oh i'd love to go, and my boyfriend could watch the cars while i watch the people. I love that coat your wearing and you look perfect in that shot with the headscarf! Did your favourite car win in the St Marys trophy?

    1. Thank you! Goodwood is great for people watching, there are so many great outfits on display.

Sadly the little mini's didn't win the race but one of them came fourth which wasn't too bad.

  2. Hello, dear Sarah! I can't get over how lovely and smart you always look. Red, white and blue is a sensational combination for you. You have every right to think of yourself as a celebrity because in my world you certainly are a V.I.P. I have always been a racing enthusiast and would have enjoyed attending this year's Goodwood Revival which turns back the clock to the greatest time period ever - the 1940s thru 60s.

Happy Tuesday to you, dear friend Sarah!

  5. You look fantastic in your 60's coat and vanity case. I have a very similar coat but I don't look half as elegant in it as you do in yours. I love the mock up of the old Tesco store x
